Quebec Wants To Change the Value of Pi

The April 2010 issue of the Quebecois for Science and Reason newsletter contained an article claiming that the Quebec Legislature has taken first steps to vote to change the value of the mathematical constant pi from 3.14159 to the ‘Biblical Value’ of 3.0.


CANADA TO SPRING AHEAD FOR BETTER WEATHER

In an unexpected announcement today, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said that the Government of Canada will introduce a new program intended to rid the country of too much winter. This innovative announcement will move the official start of spring from March 21 to February 21. Harper said that by changing the start of spring, it will make winters in Canada that much shorter and we’ll soon see better weather sooner.

THERE IS A CURE FOR INFORMATION OVERLOAD

After nearly 8 months of extensive study and more than one thousand dollars in travel, a small group of enthusiastic Canadian artists, researchers and fun seekers at McGill University working on a huge Government of Canada Research Grant believe that they have found the Cure for Information Overload.

I’m not sure what all their conclusions and implications hold for us, but it is an interesting theory and worth further study.
